I guess you can still argue that a QA Analyst job is quite similar to a SAP BI Analyst...it's not like you are running a restaurant or selling cars.

I am on EAD with my GC sponsor, 485 pending - PD Dec2006. I was a Sr.QA Analyst while my Labor was filed. Those job responsibilities were submitted in labor along with generic titles like programmer analyst etc.
Now that I have planned a technology change, I am moving into SAP BI. As it is getting tough to get contract positions and lot of FTE opportunities. I am wondering what my options are. Having said that I am also anticipating my PD to be current in july/aug/sep 2011.
I was told by my employer that I could temporarily resign , take a FT with another company and join back within 6 months.
During this time they would continue with my green process.
In this situation while I am very close ( 6-9 months) for my PD to be current, what are my best options?
1. AC21 - get it all done with new company ? Job title from Sr.Qa to SAP BI would it be a problem?
2. Temporary resignation and rejoining - is it really feasible?

We applied for her AP renewal on July 1st 2009 and on the status page, it says approval notice sent on July 16th. At the same time I also see a soft LUD on her I-485. The new date is 07/15/2009 but no status update. Are these two events connected or is someone actually looking at her I-485? Note, she is not current per priority date, however Texas processing times have been updated recently.

I do not think, number of employees matter. I work for a desi company and it has just 2 employees. Labor was breeze and 140 got approved in 4 weeks. Never got any RFE. However, I was in EB-3 despite having 4 years bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience.

I see nothing wrong with this topic at this website. We had a lot of pressure on GC. The bad economy just made our life worse. We need some high spirit.
And the title clearly indicates that it is not about any specific immigration issue. People don't have to click when not interested.

I have seen several people who got stamping for H1-H1 & F1-H1 (Safe), H4-H1 & B1-H1 (Lucky guys)...In anycase, taking Mexican Visa (though absolutely not mandatory) is advised

Well my experience with passport renewal in Chicago was HORRIBLE. First it took about 6 week to receive it. I ordered a jumbo passport but received a regular one ...called the office and left several messages -NO REPLY. Finally one Mr.Chaman Lal had to answer my call. My luck Chaman was horrible to talk (too rude) and was a perfect Bihari babu ( no offense to any Biharis on forum) said in pure Bihari accent,"No Jumbo passport made here and as far as refund for the extra money for the jumbo passport I don't refund any paisa to anybody" and the bang he hung up.

I just transferred to a new employer in my 7th year. All you need is a copy of the approved I-140.
DO not give a notice to your current employer until the new H1 is approved. Also, apply for premium processing.

My wife called Air France and France's Atlanta consulate. She will be requiring Airport Transit Visa B.
She will have to mail her original and one copy of passport and I 20 form with $ 86 Visa fee for Airport Transit Visa and an Express mail self address envelope.
Also Air France is going charge $ 50 each for extra bag after first (I received a mail about baggage fee after booking my ticket).
I will never again travel with Air France, British Airway and Lufthance even after geting GC. Today these three airlines lost a customer for life.
These three airlines don't need desi's business.:mad:

Education is always a good investment. You may do it for GC or for any other purpose. But my advise would be to pick a good reputed school that you can handle and do something that would help your career.
ALways go for reputed - amongst top 100 colleges. I was admitted in top 25 but didn't take it due to higher fees. I ended-up doing from a top 50 but still I see people who took reputed colleges despite fees and other issues and they are having the last laugh.

A while ago on one of the conference calls, if i remember correctly, it was mentioned that there wud be a team of ppl who would be aggressively calling up people and ask them to join.
First off am i correct? If i am correct, I was wondering if the same team could look at the contributions from the various members and call the "dormant" members up and ask them why they are apprehensive to contribute.

If one has a copy of 140 but it has been revoked (no fraud) , when applied for porting how does USCIS finds out the cause of revoking 140? Does USCIS has some kind of data regarding that?
Like what if the labour has been substituted? How one will get this information?

It's true that one has to mention about 485, select a choice between consular processing vs processing with in USA. this is usually done while applying for 140.
However, one can always make an amendment (to either approved 140 or 140 in pending ) to change the choice
by doing so, one has to wait for a bit longer time. (but, what difference it makes in these days of retrogression?)
